SPECIAL YEAR ROUND ACTIVITIES:
There is an activity or group for every age and interest. There are weekly events like Adult Coffee Groups and Play Groups for both the little ones and the bigger ones. There are Movie Nights, Teen Nights, Poker Nights, Monday Night Football, Scavenger Hunts, Parades, Softball Games, and Sailing Club, just to name a few.

FREE SWIM LESSONS:
Lessons are given by Certified Water Safety instructors during July. Association members need to sign up their children with the lifeguards. Watch the beach bulletin board and newsletter for more information.

FISHING:
The fishing is excellent on High Crest Lake. The lake is full of bass, pickerel, sunfish, bluegill, perch, crappies and catfish. Please wear badges while fishing. For safety reasons, please do not fish off the spillway on in the swimming areas.

THE SWIM TEAM:
The swim team is officially known as the HIGH CREST HURRICANES. Any member, ages 5-18 can join. The Hurricanes currently compete in the Small Lakes League during the month of July and early August. Practices are held weekdays for each age level. Team members enjoy the competition, but having fun is the priority. Look for sign up information in the newsletter.

THE SAILING CLUB:
The sailing club is open to all ages, beginners as well as veterans. The only requirement is that you have access to Sailfish or Sunfish sailboat and a life preserver. The season begins Memorial Day weekend, with races every Sunday starting at 12:30. After each race their families are encouraged to join them for a Sunday afternoon barbecue. Sailing lessons can be arranged so no experience is required.

PLAYGROUPS:
Playgroups are held weekly during the school year at the lodge for young children and their parents. Strollers, walkers, and tricycles, crayons and play dough, crafts and songs are all part of this social setting. Rainy day playgroups can also be arranged for the older kids. THE WOMAN’S CLUB:
The High Crest Woman’s Club holds monthly meetings open to women 18 years of age and older. As the By-Laws state, “the object of this club is to bring together women who are interested in civic, social and educational advancement through good fellowship. It is to be a charitable organization,” With the community’s help, the Women’s Club gives Thanksgiving baskets to the needy families of West Milford, Easter baskets to the battered women’s shelter, donations to the first aid squad, among many other great deeds. Contact the club president for more information.
